Struts

Spring/Shock Removal

Compress the spring with a McPherson Strut spring compressor.

The spring needs to be compressed enough so it is 'loose'.

Remove the top strut nut from the support (rubber bushing). The bushing and spring can now be removed.

Remove the locking nut on the shock absorber. This is where the big boy pipe wrench comes in handy. Special Service Tool optional.
