The wheels have very little curb rash but the clear coat is crap and the wheels will need to be refinished. I was going to do it but I got some minty stock wheels from Greg G and I don't feel like going through with the projest any more

They have some skinny 185/70/14 on them which make pretty decent rain/snow tires. They have at least 75% their tread left. I used these for winter tires and they behaved great. $100 for all 4 I strongly prefer local pickup! Shipping the will be very expensive!

Let me reiterate: I DON'T want to ship the wheels and tires. The cost will be prohibitive to the buyer and the aggravation will be a great big pain in my ass.

For example, UPS ground shipping to Florida for four 25 pound packages witht he rough dimensions of 18X18X9 will be ~$80 and I'll have to find four large boxes and packaging material.

try the Cressida fourms. I am sure someone will want them. $100 is a steal, I wish I could get those wheels, as an extra set.

as far as I know, you can ship rims w/ tires without a box.

can anyone confirm?

you just put a round cardboard on each side to prevent scratching and have a place to put the label.

I've found that with shipping rims, 2 per box will save you quite a bit of money.

It's still going to cost a hundred bucks either way though.

I had 4 stock turbo sawblade wheels and tires sent to me with just cardboard covers on each one a couple years ago via UPS for my 88T. Just wrap some packing tape all the way around a couple times and make a nice X. I thought it was funny, they took 3 different routes, and arrived on different days. My friend also got new wheels and tires online recently and that is also how they shipped were shipped to him.

hope this helps,

-John

Well, I sold the wheels on Ebay. The buyer was in contact with me throughout the auction and he convinced me ship them. So I ship them via UPS and two get to the buyer and two get stolen in transit! UPS can't find them so I have a claim in for the wheels. Of course, even if I get reimbursed for the wheels UPS does NOT reimburse the shipping even though the lost the wheels! Unbelievable.

So please keep your eyes peeled for someone selling 2 wheels with 185 series tires on them.
