I have a 1979 Supra that im parting out. Im using the rearend and suspension for my Celica. As far as I can tell the body is rust free. The only exception to this that i can see is that the hood has bad surface rust but is strait and fixable. Not rusted through.

I had a better look at the Supra. Real quick dumb question. Is this considered a MK1? All the glass is good except winshield. All the turn, tail, corner lens are good. And almost of the body panels are strait and appear solid. Otherthan the drivers rear quater panel and front bumper cover. Also a moonroof can not tell the condition of that with-out opening it.

If you need any pieces let me know.

Thank You

LOL!!!

Thanks for looking out for me again Devin!!!

Unfortunately, these seats won't work either. I'm looking for a drivers side Gray Cloth seat from a 81. The seat pattern has the tiny "polka dot" pattern (Devin, see your seats from the Blupra). The 79 is more of a funky looking "zebra stripe" pattern & won't work w/ my interior.... However.... Now that I think of it.....

I am looking for a driver side headrest from SPECIFICALLY a 79. And it has to be a Cloth interior w/ the original Cloth Zebra stripe material. I would possibly be interested in this, but I need to see a picture first!! And it has to be from a Black interior!! Not the Maroon or Beige!!! So.... What color is the interior???

Can't think of anything else I need.

The car is sitting about half a mile off a gravel road amongst all our other donor vehicles. I'll go out tommorrow and look and see what interior color it is.

The interior is beige color.

I loaned my cam out to a friend who took it on sea cruise. I'll borrow another and get you pics of whatever pieces you are interested in. Send me a PM if you'd like.

Nuts.... Beige interior... Nice try, I'll pass on the headrest.

Devin, what do you still need interior wise??? Post a list & I can tell you what will fit!!! (Paul, there are a few differences between the 79, and the 80/81 interiors, some things are unique to the 79, like the whole center console. 79 is unique, but the 80 & 81 is interchangable).

Cool thanks for the input CJ. I have to admit that Im pretty Toyota Dumb. Its taken me a couple just to learn what I know about my 76 Celica. Now I need to learn about Supra's too. I knew I should've learned how to take better notes in school..

Devin,

Give me about a week to remove the parts and get some pics for you. I need to get my lazy butt back to work the rest of this week, I have a small bathroom remodeling job to get done by the weekend. It's hell being your boss. If you think of what else you need between now and then let me know.

Devin & Paul,

79 shift boot is molded slightly differently than the 80/81. I did confirm that there are 2 different part numbers when the dealer called it up on the EPC. (and yes, you can't get a new one @ the dealer, it's a CLASS F item). Up to you. Reason for the difference is the slight bend on the shift lever, it's pointed more to the driver. The 80/81 is a little more upright than the 79.

Everything else on the list will interchange between the 79 & 80!! Good luck on this round of parts aquisition!!
