When i first built my car i tore the old muffler off and just ran a straight pipe straight back from where the exhaust bends parallel to the ground. The problem was that i didn't put a turndown on the straightpipe and when i started having my engine problems....the flames from the backfires put a nice bubble in my bumper about 2" tall by 1" wide. They also melted back the black fairing underneath the bumper. Any ideas on how to fix this or hide it? I didn't want to go the ghetto ricer way and put a steel plate over the bumper right above the muffler....so any ideas would be appreciated.
