Power Door lock problem

I have a problem with my 1983 Supra P-type. Mysteriously the power door locks are opening and closing non-stop every 3 or 4 seconds, on their own. I've tried disconnecting fuses and the power door lock switch on the console with negative results. I hear a clicking noise coming from somewhere under the dash board.
I recently installed a used door interior light switch (turns the interior light on when the door opens) and a power mirror. Any relation???).
The battery is currently disconnected temporarily putting the problem on hold - awaiting advice.

Can anyone assist me with this problem before I begin tearing the dash apart?

thanks very much. I reviewed the information and it was very helpful.
I'll try to have a look at the two relays. If I run into problems assessing the relays I'll seek more advice.
