OK heres the deal, my alt would squeal once in a while, so i tightened the belt. its was pretty tight, but not gorilla tight. well anyways, i was liking the non slippage and the stable volts giving out (btw it squealed only when the headlights were on and i took off from idle cuz the voltometer dipped to 12 or a lil under) well after i did that, i noticed the car being a bit hard to start. as if the battery was under low voltage at all times.

now, it didnt do this ANYTIME while the belt was looser. in th eback of my mind i was wondering if the bearings froze up or something and it was just hard for my motor to turn over. but the battery died out on me completely and i took it out while the car was on so i could put my other battery in and have the car recharge it. well the car didnt die without a batt. so u think the batt dying and my belt tensioning was all coincidence? sorry for the long post

I am almost 100% sure your problem is the battery. I have had this happen on other cars that the battery was so toasted that the alternator could not keep up even with out any accessories on. So all the amperage the alternator could put out went to the battery.
