I believe most of our cars do that mainly the 82, 83s. Not sure if the cars did this when they rolled out of the showroom but its either because of a worn out alternator or it just doesnt have enough amps. Nothing big to worry about but it does get annoying after a while and you wanna end up fixing it.

Mine does this as well. And so did my previous mkII. I dont think its a problem as most people on this forum have probably experienced the same thing with no ill effects.

dances with the turn signals, dances when the sub hits (not a high power system) dances with wolves ect. with heater, headlights, wipers, defogger and fog lights running, the guage sits somewere near 11 volts, new alt, new batt, not worryed, when the alt goes, its got a lifetime warrenty on it so, and if the new batt goes in the next 2 months its free, in the next 5 months ill, pay like 3 bucks for a new one so watever

:imwithst: i love the little dance mine does, except when it falls stage left. like he said lifetime warranty from your auto parts store is a great thing to have.

It is normal to see a small reaction on the voltmeter to changes in electrical load, but only a small reaction. If it moves more than the width of the needle then you've got a problem.

And the problem will almost always be poor earthing.
If it only happens with the turn signals, then start with the taillight units. If it happens with everything, start with the battery connections and the chassis and engine earth points under the hood.
