real leather??? my 85 supra seats are immaculate , but everyone saids they are vinyl ......i have a L type .....with adjustable lumbar support air thingy.....I still take care of the seats even if they are vinyl......

Does not make sense at all...

You have a L-Type 85??? Unless someone installed them, the 85 L-Type's only had Cloth.

Plus the 85 P-Type seats were REAL leather, not vinyl... Unless they were recovered sometime in it's past.....

Now you know this is coming, so you've been warned....

The sides on the factory leathers seats are vinyl and the faces are cheap, but real leather.

I'd argue the cheap part. mk2 leather > mk3 leather > mk4 leather. Every generation of supra has ended up with leather seats that wear worse then the previous gen. I have seen other old cars with leather seats that seem to last better (old beemers, mercs), but it could just be that the owners of those cars actually took the time and proper methods to clean and maintain their leather too.

According to my 84 dealer invoice: "Leather Sport Seat Upgrade...$ 530.00" MSRP: $15,724.00 $17,139.00 off the lot with all added goodies. Cheap you say?? :wink:
