Would it be bad to drive my 85 supra 3 hours without any exhaust from the cat back? (Have cat, no pipes or muffler after it) And if so how bad?

Not bad at all. Might be loud and give you a headache..and the possibility exists you could suck dopwn some exhaust fumes...but it won't hurt the car any...

It wont hurt the car any, but on a 3-hour drive you might inhale lots of exhaust. It IS toxic, if you werent aware of that, so that probably isnt the best idea, but the car will be fine. :P

Shortly after I bought my mk2 the exhuast busted off right near the rear axle; the problem was that it bust on a weekend vacation to he U.S....I drove the car easily 1,000 miles like this. Believe it or not; as long as the cat is on it's not that loud...until you mash the throttle...then look f'n out...wow:roll: It literally sounded like a race car...I was on and off the gas all weekend
3 hours is nothing man; crack open the sunroof and windows and you'll be fine man...good luck

my muffler rusted off and i drove around for like 6 months with it that way because it sounded so cool, then i got a fix-it ticket and my fun went away.

I drove for months after my muffler fell of the blue car...pipe dead-ended at the rear axle or just behind...if I left the car idling I'd leave both windows open to let airflow through the interior, but I never had problems with fumes while moving. And yes, it's not that loud with the cat still on (but no muffler) until you mash the gas...then it's sweet!

Well, 3 hours isn't too long, but depending on where the exhaust broke and where it's aiming at, you could cook part of your rubber under coating. I removed the heat shields off of my 1985, and I found that after driving with them off (for a few years mind you) that it had cooked and dried out my rubberized undercoating. Just something to be aware of.

Well i made it home, but go figure i got a ticket. Just a fix-it ticket, but no fines or anyhting. So i fixed it.
Now my car is nice and quiet and smooth too.

i just took a run around the block without my muffler. damn did it have a nice throaty tone to it. up until about 4500 rpm, then it was just a loud roar. downshifting to 5000 rpm was rediculous. my muffler is so well rusted off, i can detach and reattach it quite easily.
