I got into an accident with my '84 Celica GT-S and must now get rid of it ASAP or it goes to the junkyard. I will let anybody come and tow it for free if they want it too. It's just front-end damage, if the frame wasn't pushed in, I would have fixed the car myself...

Going about 30 to 35mph...going around a corner...some reason snow not fully plowed at this point in the road...slid into a tree.

Me and my girlfriend walked away without a scratch, but my baby is another story
35 mph in the snow... on a curve?
With your girl in the car?

Unbelievable.

If I am forced to drive the Supra in inclement weather, I transform into a grandma.

35mph out here in inclement conditions and even grandma would be flipping you the bird for slowing her down.

I don't care who is flipping me off.
I like my car, my girlfriend, and I don't hit stationary objects.

Hmm,

I'd suggest never visiting Connecticut.
I moved away from metro NYC partly because the 'driving attitudes' didn't suit me. For example, on your daily commute, you are forced to keep a car length or less to keep 'aggressive' drivers from cutting in.

Protect yourself and your car by not driving out there.
Jason is right. A good driver knows to get out of the way of speeding Connecticut grandma. Because she doesn't have the reaction skills anymore and she Will plow right into your car.

Yeah, I am from NYC too.

My comment, "I transform into a grandma" was just a figure of speech.

Said clearly: I prefer to practice slow, defensive, driving during inclement weather.

Well it wasn't snowing at the time, it was a day later and all of the roads were completely plowed except for this one section around a turn...yea either way I still blame myself for the accident, but it's old news now.

My comment wasn't meant as a reflection of your driving, but of the insanity of SoCal drivers. Hell, average speeds on the HWY tend to be ~85mph. There have been times where I've been cruising 95mph just keeping with traffic...and even then still have people regularly blow past me. There are a *large* number of people here that base their speed on a rate of overtake. If traffic is doing 80, they do 95; if traffic is doing 95, they do 110.
