Here in nothern Illinois...they pack the salt on thick, when I bought my Supra form the original owner he had never driven it in winter. I though I would continue the tradition. Plus arent Supra extra suseptible to salt?
Now thats 3 days after washing it... this car should have a lumunous black finish.

OK...that took some thinking to figure out...I read the top part of your post and it sounds like this:
You bought your Supra from a guy who said he has never winter-driven it, and decided you wouldn't drive it in winter either. Now though, you take it out and wash it, and here's a pic of it three days later. Except the pic isn't of a Supra. It's your Probe, which you have for sale. I don't get how that goes together with the first part of your post... :?: :?

Readers digest condensed version:
They put a lot of salt on the roads, I don't drive my Supra in the winter because it is susceptable to salt corrosion, see the pic of the probe as an example of what a car driven on the salty road looks like after just three days.

Precisely why I'm having a hard time deciding whether or not to keep my dad's old 84. I'm from Illinois, as is the 84, and my dad had a bad habit of driving his MKII during the winter months.
Just about any car is going to rust away into oblivion if exposed to road salt, but Japanese steel always seems to rust more quickly and spread the cancer like wildfire compared to some other cars.
