I think ive got a problem, with my supra you have to exert about 10lbs of force to get the throttle to move, but once i get it past the restong point it becomes soft. Is this normal? if it is id like to know how to get a softer feel to it, Thanks -Mike

Mine does that but it's not bad (or i'm just used to it). I think it's caused by a small bend in the throttle cable from somebody working on the spark plugs. I've yet to figure out how to fix it, other than getting a new one.

That's normally caused by excessive build up on the throttle plate. Remove the rubber hose and give it a good spraying. With some throttle body cleaner. To get it really nice and clean. Remove the throttle body. Because most of the build up. Will be on the back side. Mine was like that and after cleaning. It now works like new again.

I agree with gts, you need to clean your throttle body, the way i clean it is to remove the intake tube from the throttle body then take an old tooth brush open the throttle by hand and spray in there, then take the tooth brush and clean the dirt up....then spray again....if you can take a rag and try and wipe the rest clean.

when you do this the car will not start easily due to the extra fuel in the intake, so start it with the throttle all the way open and then rev it to like 3k for about 15 seconds or more to clear the shit out.

Very easy to remove the afm to clean it. Pull the connector (comes off easy) and 3 accessible bolts hold the mounting plate. Remove the connections to the intake and air filter. 5 minutes is a long time for yhe whole operation. Cleaning it will prolly add a bit more airflo and you'll feel a small performance gain.
