Hello everyone, I am just wondering if the rear differentials from the 83 supras and interchangable with the ones out of the 85 Supras? I searched for it but I am not sure if its the celica rear diffs are different or all of them.
Thanks

I believe they will all bolt in, but they all don't have the same ratio and they aren't all limited slip. You can check the codes on the tag and then do a search on this forum to find a guide to what the codes mean - I'm sure its been posted before.

Only the mk3 celica's had 2 different sizes of diffs. 82-84 had a 6.7" and some of the 84 and all of 85 celica's had a 7.5". All of the mk2 supra's had 7.5" diffs.

all mk2 supras came with limited slip.
Wrong :!:
In the US, mk2 L types came with open diffs.
Some Canadian mk2 L types came with LSD.

And, for funsies, I'll say that MX73 (1985-1988) Cressida diff's inner guts should interchange, although the pumpkin itself may not.
In the Cressida's case, American models got a 4.10:1 LSD as a rare option. Canadians got it as standard equipment, as far as I know.
