Well I was at C.P today and the car was up on the hoist......low and behold there were a couple of holes started up in the floor.

The frame rails and the rest of the Chasis was good however and there were severaal comments made on how good of shape the car was in.

My question is... What would be the best way to patch there holes. Fiberglass steel welded or rivited.

I just want a way to keep it from rusting any more until I get the car totally redone from the ground up within the next year or 2.

I've used some POR-15 products (their clearcoat on my wheels "glisten PC") and am really impressed with them. They sent me a catalogue and they have a few interesting things that might help in your situation. I would rather cut out the old stuff and weld in new metal but theoretically speaking this stuff should be just as good or better: http://www.por15.com/product.asp?productid=305

The kit looks a bit overkill but you can always pick and choose what you need from it. perhaps some POR-15 paint, their fiberglass mesh and some of that epoxy putty would be just fine.

May not be the type of solution you are looking for, but just letting you know there are some other good options out there.

cut and weld in new stuff is always the best bet. Then a good rust primer, then paint, then under coating.
