114.3 always seemed like a weird number to me. i've only been a supra owner for about 2 months. so i never really put that much thought into the bolt pattern. so today i took the (what i thought to be) weird number, and divided it by 25.4 , there are 25.4 millimeters in an inch, and the end result was 4.5" so i went on summitracing.com and found a few hundred wheels, in a wide variety of sizes, widths, and offsets. seems really stupid but i am proud of myself.

Yeah, now you get to find that the 2 or 3 wheels out of 200 with an offset between zero and ten don't suit the style of the mk2 at all. 4x114.3 is a very common bolt pattern on front wheel drive cars. Plenty of threads here on wheels, what fits and what don't. Unfortunately, wheels designed for front wheel drive cars don't fit our rear wheel drive cars. But then you wouldn't be the first to see a wheel you like only to contact the manufacturer and find they don't make that low of an offset.

pff. just because summit has a drag racing cavalier doesn't mean that the entire catalog minus 10 pages isn't devoted to rear drive muscle. i think a set of weld racing draglite 15x8 0mm offset would look fine on an old supra, you see a lot of cragar's on fwd cars too.

you shall learn fast enough :) what seems like a wide choice of wheels, really isnt... of course, with enough money you can get anything you want :) *dreams of works vs wheels*

pff.

He just pff-ed Phil :wtf:

Oh well... some learn the hard way. I think my advice is going to go to deaf ears on this, so I'll sit back and watch this unfold. :screwy:

You do NOT want to PFFF the PDUP....
...quick trip down Wrong Rd waiting to happen.

(seriously though, he's quite right. we've all be fighting the no-choices war for quite some time. one manufacturer I'd look into if I were you is Centerline and or Compmotive. best of luck to you.)

eagle, american racing, weld racing, U.S. wheel, centerline, and cragar all make 0 offset wheels with a 4 x 4.5 pattern. the total amount of choices available doesn't come close to any front driver, but in my eyes, a lot of those wheels look like garbage on an old supra, each person has their own style, mine is a chrome 2 piece cragar "quick trick" for $60 each. would it be a bad thing to get wheels that dont come from the land of the rising sun and max out the visa doing it? is it a bad thing to have more than 3 tires to choose from?

If it was easy as you say.......why does EVERY tire store you go to look at you like your nfriggin' NUTS,when you try to buy wheels that fit our cars.

Better do some more homework......better yet,order/buy what you think will fit,in a 16" or 17" wheel,so you can get a tire that will actualy perform. Then, tell us ...if you can get them...and if sooooo.....how they fit,and ACTUAL offset when they show up.

In most peoples eyes here most of the wheels you just mentioned look like garbage on supras, but too each his own. However, you do get what you pay for. Those 60 dollar wheels are going to weigh a ton. If you look into the weights of the wheels listed by the manufactures you just listed you'll be hard pressed to find any wheel that weighs less then 20 pounds each. Your best bet is the centerlines, but some of the wheels made specifically for drag racing can be light too, however they're usually the plainest looking ones. If you want cheapish, good looking and light for these cars, look into old school jdm stuff used. You'll be hard pressed to find anything bigger then a 15x7, but they work well on these cars.

Good luck finding some wheels to fit. I spent 18 months serching for something I liked and could afford, and 15 months waiting for them to arrive.

no offence dude, but stop arguing and listen to guys who have owned these cars for years...
when your talking wheels and tires especially listen to Supra GTR, since the man knows what hes talking about ;)

just trust me on this one, life is easier when you take good advice from people who are trying to help.

Are the C2's available still. The one's on the GTR look the best I've seen. I see them for sale alot, but don't if they are offered with the offset.

I think you have to talk to Supra_GTR himself if you want those wheels.

I "think" the RH C2's have been discontinued, but I might be wrong. James did say that he can no longer get these in the offset that he has. And when he did order his, he had to wait 6 months for them to come from Japan, due to the custom offset. The offset that requested on his C2's are NOT something you can get off the shelf for "normal" C2's.

Racing Hart C2s are officially discontinued. I purchased mine over 5 years ago... on the tail end of the life cycle of that style.
