so, reading grassroots motorsports and i notice this little sidebar.
"konig discounts for NASA members"
basically it boils down to konig wheels for super cheap.
how cheap you ask?
well, how about any 15" konig wheel for $55 each?
or any 17" konig wheel for $75 each?
15" rewinds for $210 a set...
17" imagines (yes, im told theres a size that fits) for $300 a set...
i can see this being a good deal.
you have to be a member of the NASA racing organization, then you go surf konigs catalog at www.konigwheels.com.
once you find something you like, contact konig at jfisher@konigwheels.com or (516)822-5700 x206
theyre gonna need a membership number, expiration date, contact info, and the wheel model/size/offset.
now i havent done this yet myself (waiting on confirmation that canadians are eligible) but since i saw it in print in a reputable mag, i wanted to share the joy.

You will be required to put 4 stickers on your car as part of the contingancy program.
NASA membership is $40, IIRC, and includes a subscription to Grassroots Motorsports. It's worth it just for the magazine subscription and discounts alone.

Im liking those Imagines but I would get 17x7s in the front and 18x8.5s in the rear if they fit properly.

its almost like a sponsership, you get cheaper rims if you put stickers on your ride. its ok i guess, i might if the imagines are offered for three hundred a set

how the hell would they know if u have stickers on ur ride or not? O_o? how bout one person in each major city becomes a member, and we all just go through them to buy the rims? :P plus 5 dollar finders/service fee, eventually the 40 dollar membership pays for itself! :P

What's sad is that somebody will try to do that and end up screwing the deal for the regular people who don't abuse it.

I dont know about u guys, but i looked at their selection of wheels and only saw one possibility. the panasport looking wheels are the only set I believe look good on mk2's. They only have 15x7's.

agreed....
thats beyond ghey, because what happens if someone from konig happens to read that?
its four stickers, who cares.
and supra-b, you have to actually contact a dealer, or konig to find out their offsets, i havent found anywhere on their site that they list all offset/size combinations.
i know i have seen imagines in 17x7 advertised as having about a 15 offset... thatd fit L types quite nicely, and with a 5mm spacer, P types too.
not bad, a braid/bbs look for cheap.
and the rewinds are georgeous...those would probably be what im going for, assuming i dont get screwed by being canadian.

this sounds cool, and it'd be awesome if was good for us up north, as I had been eyeing the konig mp3's for a while, but they listed as old, and out of production?, but I just got my real advan sa3r's, so I'm set, until my next car anyways :P
and I dont mind stickers/decals, as long as its something actually relating to what you have on the car, and that they arent huge :P
