Go to the doctor, that can be serious, they have great meds for that these days.

Acid Reflux, see about taking the purple pill
Seriously, see a doctor. You don't want ulcers in your esophagus.
isnt that also caused by stress?

Yeah... I used to have the same problem. The docs put me on Zantac and its no longer a problem. It is caused by a number of things... but IS very serious. Get it checked out, and in the mean time, to get ya thru till ya can get an appointment, go to the drugstore and get the over the counter Zantac. Its the same as the precription, but is 75 mg instead of 150.
Get checked out - disease called GERD (Gastric Esophageal (spelling) reflux disease - can cause pre cancerous lesions. A cause is often a hiatus hernia which allows acid back up the tube. Treat by eliminating foods that cause the reaction or Rx drugs called proton pump inhibitors - long term use of Zantac can sometimes cause you to develop man breasts.

I used to have really bad heart burn too. Change my diet a bit and that seemed to help. Smoaking can agrivate it too. Since I quit drinking haven't had a problem with it...

Hey Supra Bob - Why would I kid you - If you're taking it read the contraindication sheet you get with the package - its a chemical called ranitidine hcl and a side effect can be an endocrine (read male/female) disruption - or as we might say you grow hooters.
