AFM differences

How would you tell an 82 from an 83? I know the wiring is completly different between the 2 years, but would an 83 start with an 82 but run really bad?

The 82 AFM looks like the others externally except for the flap stop bolt on the housing. The 82 AFM is also electrically different and won't bolt up to anything but an 82.

so if somebody with an 82 or 83 check theirs :D pleasssse
i hope the first one is an 82, cause that would solve a bunch of problems

The one with the bolt is exclusive to 82. Looks like you've found a winner.
