Hey guys,
Please vote. I recently changed to a new host, and I wanted to see how things are working out.
Thanks!

can we have a new poll question added? like: is sometimes, but not always? cause i use a really slow computer i.e.=amd k-2 500 mmx with 256 megs of memory so i really dont have too much of a clue. so im kinda clueless. oh well

With dial up it is much slower. I had figured it was just my dial up but based on the other comments, maybe not.

whiney complainer!! haha
it's a tad slower for me as well, sorta. seems like it pauses to load, but then loads after a second or two at normal speed.

As for Mike W. it feels like the site takes a break at every click (1-2sec),
then takes off normally.

I am on a fiber optic connection, and even I can tell its slower....

It does that because we query all the information before it's assembed and displayed on the screen, can't display what we don't have.

Have noticed that it is slower. Even here @ work on a T1 line.
Have not tried the GF's PC yet on dial-up.

I think the slower the connection the less you notice it.
On my dual 2.8ghz xeon with 2gb of ddr and 3mbps cable it seems to take forever, even compared to my forum, which is hosted on one of the most god awful servers.

Man i haven't noticed, however i've not been on the site a lot recently...I don't care...an extra second doesn't bother me...but what was wrong with the old host?

Yea what's up Mike. It's like taking 20 /30 seconds to load a page sometimes. I mean daaammmm I got broadband cos dial up sucks but it feels like I am back on dial up some times. No offence!

Access speed to the server appears to be slowing, which tells me either the server has a load of traffic on it....the box itself is slow, or the bandwidth pipeline to the server is very narrow. I'm guessing it's the latter one, based on how the forum responds. It appears that the new host is not on a very fast connection.
I'm on Comcast cable and nothing has changed on my end...so it must be the host.

Yes, its definately slower. Sometimes takes 20 seconds just to load a page, or it wont load at all and I have to refresh the browser. I'm on ADSL.

I voted that I didn't see a change. But it does get slow sometimes. Most of the time I don't notice a difference, though.

last week it ran fast as hell on my end. these past two days, it has reminded me how slow 56k was.

Still slow & starting to get old (I'm on 56K dial-up). At least 3X when I'm here, when a page is trying to load (and no pictures) it pauses & takes awhile before it continues loading. Other times it won't load at all. Pressing reload or reset does not work, I have to back out (ie press the back arrow), then click on the page I want to go to again. 2nd time it will load properly w/o hanging up.
Previous host did not do this, was much faster.

It's the new server ... it has through-put issues.
I'm guessing it's on a very narrow bandwidth pipeline, and depending on how busy things are where it's co-located, if they're experiencing heavy usage, our transfer speed suffers as a result.
