I'm glad you guys like 'em. They are 18X9 on the back and 18X8 on the front. My front shaft was just removed and painted. Toyota no longer carries it. I did get a new rear shaft, it needs to be balanced and painted. The viscous bearing is brand new. The TEIN's are from a st185, if I remember right.Might have been st205

Tempest,
The rims compliment your ride perfectly! Did you go with the 225/40 and the 255/40 as you had planned. Also, what offsets are you running on your 8" and 9" rims? Great look!

Carlos

Very nice wheels, but you should post up a full length picture of the car with the new wheels on it so we can get an overall idea of what it looks like.

I'll take a picture of the whole car today and post it. The front offset is +18, the back is -1. The tires are 225/40/18 and 255/45/18 and that is ALL! the tire you can get in there. I would have ideally used a 255/40/18 it will fit better. I have to shave the front plastic trim to make it. Didn't hit until the car settled, I can't get my hand in there now. But I dig it. Not a lot like mine.

Tempest,
If you did in fact select a 255/45/18 for the rear of the car, was there some particular reason for the size. I believe the stock 225/60 OD comes in at around 24.63 inches. The 255/35/18 is about 25.03 inches, the 255/40/18 is about 26.03 inches, and the 255/45/18 comes in at a whopping 27.04 inches. You can expect upwards to a 9% speedo error, unless of course you decide to correct the error (If you are running 4.30 gears with 255/45/18's, you can install a 32 tooth driven gear (from 32/10 set) and achieve about a 3% error reading.
Interesting Choice!

Carlos

The wheels are cool, but I think they are to big IMO, but I have not put anything bigger than 14's on my cars at all. I will try to post some pics of 14x10's and 14x11 wheels I had on my MKII I had a few years ago.

Your right. But let me know when there is a bigbrake kit available for the MKII and I would step up to bigger wheels. But for what I have done and will continue to do in the future, there was no need to go with bigger wheels. But again, my $0.02 :)

Jim has offered the BBK kit several times as a GB. Check in that section. And when he doesn't he's given the part numbers to order them yourself.
Besides 8" of sidewall do suck. Unless you like semi-vague handling.
