Finally! :)

The FedEx guy showed up with my new differential the other day. The
diff already came installed in the third member housing complete
with stub axles, the only thing it needs is the back cover plate.
The housing looks like it's either been hot tanked or sand blasted.
I've never seen such a clean looking diff! I'm going to be painting
it with high heat paint before installing it. The installation
appears to be top notch, and there is only about 1/8" of play in the
input flange.

Sean at River City Differentials (916-852-7109) had a bunch of Supra
third members in the back of the shop, and poked around til he found
one with a 3.73 ratio. The only things he charged me for were true
trac diff, the new bearings and seals, a bit of labor, and
shipping. Total cost after shipping was $450.

I'm going to be taking pictures soon, and will post again when I can
email them out.

I spoke with Sean, he does not have any 3.73's around. If you search on the net, there are a lot of used ones listed for $100-250. Caveat Emptor

Well, perhaps I got the last one... I definitely counted the rotations of the input shaft vs the stub shaft, and it was around 3 3/4 turns. Maybe I just lucked out!

okay, I took pictures today... if anybody wants to see em, shoot me an email direct so that I can just reply with the zip file.

It's just bare metal in the pics, but I've already started painting it with high temp "ceramic" paint. Should keep it from rusting, and will also let me track leaks easily.

Can't wait! Now I gotta decide whether to keep the HKS cams in there or not, now that I'll be needing all the torque I can get!

what is the most power someone has made on the true trac diff. I've been thinking out getting one but I'm wondering how it will hold up to higher horsepower launches.

I am assuming she is hoping to see a diff or maybe I am way off base here

I think what he means is that once installed the True trac is going to look like pretty much any diff. My Power Brute diff looks basically the same as stock. If you want to see it I have photos here;
