XGT HR, XGT HB, XGT H4, different name for the same tire? id imagine so. if not, then theres only 4 left of the HR since i just bought 2 of them. unless my buddy or his distributor are wrong. cuz they said its a discontinued size. had to order them from the east coast. if they are all the same tire different name. then yea, only 4 left of the michelins. thot id share that. so basically....no O.E. tire for us anymore. we hafta downgrade in speed rating if we wanna keep our O.E size. sumone shuld write each company a letter. asking for a limited production run of one of their tires in our size. ::shrug:: just an idea

225/60/14 H rated or better tires sure do look gone.

I have a set of four never ran 215/60/14 H rated Sumitomo's I stashed last year.
pm if anybody's interested as I need 16 and 17" rubber now.

The damn Pilots look like 70 series ballon tires on the Mk2 anyway. I would guess that the 215/60/14 Michelin Pilot would probably be similar to most normal 225/60's. That is probably the way I'll go 10 years from now when my current set wears out....

(30,000 miles max life divided by 3,000 miles I drive the car each year equals 10 years). :ugh:

I think the pilot is just gone like keseki said.

There is no H rated tire at TireRack, for example, in sizes 225/60/14 or 215/60/14...

Yikes. I just confirmed it for myself on the Tire Rack site. Virtually no tires left in 225 or 215 with 14 inch rims.... :ugh:

Not a damn thing wrong with the Radial T/A's on the MKII with the white letters out, I did that to my last two and really liked it. 16s on the current ride offer many more options. I am getting a digital camera soon and can pimp out the new Piltot Sport A/S skins soon...

I searched tirerack and it seems that BF goodrich and Yokahame avis S/T tires are available. Maybe the dunlops gt qualifier also in a 235 version. Which tire should I go with HELP? Thanks

i dont liek to downgrade in speed ratings. thats just me tho. if i need new tires tho, my buddy has a stock of three remington's in 235/60/14 h and 4 falkens in 205/60/14 :D but i shuld have rims by the time these are done. btw, first day impressions of the michellins, either i gotta get more miles to break them in more, or they arent as cornering capable as the falkens are
