I did a search and found nothing on jackstand points. The book says to put them at the seam points inboard of the rocker pannels. Mine just bends and crushes. Previous owners have made mince meat out of the seam. I cannot use the crossmember or suspension, as it is being removed.
Any pics would help.

just behind the front tire, I use the frame rail (inboard of the seam) just after it levels out coming out of the engine bay area. Do NOT do this in the rear though.

The place that the owners manual says to use is 3-4 sheets of metal thick slightly reinforced, but it's only 2-4 inches long, the rest of the seam area will crush under the cars weight. sounds like the previous owner was able to crush the lift point as well, which really isn't all that hard to do.

Sorry I don't have any pictures, but hopefully I helped a little.

That helps...many mistakes have been made on this car in the past. There is almost nowhere left to place stands.

I looked, where the rail levels out do you put the stand foward or aft of the short perpendicular rail that runs outboard?

I usually put mine in the front under the front strut bar brackets and in the rear I usually put them under that forward outside mount for the crossmember

Thats the way I do them in the front, but I cant do that in the rear because the whole rear end is coming out...

By the way, are those cobwebs in those jackstands? Oh the humanity...

LOL!!!!

Dr. Phil w/ a cherry bomb for a muffler???? Nah.....

I know he mentioned that when he first turbo'd the Silverpra, he went through several mufflers before finding one that wasn't obnoxious & driving him nutty.

More than likely, it's a resonator. :D
