Where can I find/make a "test light"?

I want to test my temp guage. In the Toyota shop manual it says to short the sending unit wire through a 8.4 watt bulb "test light". The light will flash and the guage will "deflect" accordingly. AutoZone and Advance Auto Parts do not carry this "test light", and neither does PepBoys. Any Ideas where I can get one?

If I am not mistaken, any 12v light should work fine, it mentions the wattage so you dont blow it up. The light should light up AND the guage should move. If the light comes on and the guage doesnt move, the guage is toast, if neither work then its the sending unit.
