Mkii seats in a MKi?

Do MKII seat bolt up into a MKI? The seats in my MKI are toast and it's quite a bit easier to find a MKII or celica in a Yard then a MKI.

I can't remember if you have to do any minor mods or not. Best thing to do is send a PM to Damon Saul (turbo mk1, I think. Do a member search). He installed MKII seats into his Black 81 Performance Package car.

Dont know if you still need this info but the answer is yes - they "fit" but they are not a 100% direct install. First off, you have to reem out of of the mounting holes in the back and then you have to try to narrow the seats slightly (moving the lower seat bolsters in some) since the MKI is narrower. All in all, very simple and straight forward and well worth it - the stock MKI "Liberachi" seats leave much to be desired...
