:censored: alright guys, i've got a 6mgte setup with all the stock 7mgte parts and a rising rate fuel pressure regulator. anyway i noticed yesterday that when i am just driving the road either at slight acceleration or normal acceleration the car will intermitently hesitate to the point where it seems like the engine is completely loosing either fuel or spark. usually in 1 to 2 seconds bursts and then it will accelerate with no problem. (now i haven't tuned the car since the rebuild so maybe that's it? don't know need to find someone with some know how on tuning around durham, nc.) i also noticed thatwhen i come to a stop the car sometimes shuts off (did it 5 times today) i replaced the coil and the ignitor, the cap, rotor and wires have been replaced within the last 1500 miles. the car smells like it is running rich. i'm going to look at the spark plugs tomorrow. could the car running rich cause this problem? i'm not sure the car is running rich or not. i did a search for this problem but didn't find any answers. the car has ran fine from build to this point which is about 1500 miles. the only weird issue has been that the idle is sometimes very weird, like the car wants to idle at like 2300 rpm.

update: well as i was driving tonight, irealized that the hesistation occurs anytime i'm driving not just during acceleration. i also realized that when i am downshifting to a stop it seems like my car is back firing, as i am hearing loud "pop" sounds coming from the exhaust. i quite certain that my issue is air / fuel ratio related. does anyone know someone who could tune my car around durham, nc. i searched and found that BillyM stated that he would be willing to tune someone's car with some wideband 02 sensor equipment if they met him in the GA area.
