They're also an upgrade to the 240, 260, 280Z because they're wider than the stock wheels. I've seen a number of photos of V8 conversions runnning them.

Cool!

I've (literally) got about 20 rims (including 4 that were refinished and never put on a car..so good to know there's other options for them to be used....

Cheers,

Dave

P.S. any particular range of years for the MG that the Supra wheels will fit??

I have an '84 L type and would like some center caps, please (3). Rear wiper arm assembly and a drivers seat back.Mines cloth but it doesn't matter.I'm not that fat and my seat pops and creaks when I get in. Been looking for a used aftermarket sway bar also(front) and aftermarket muffler.Used is fine.

I'm pretty sure the Supra wheels would fit on any MGB or Midget, save for ones that had factory wire wheels.

yeah the factory wire wheels use knock offs to hold them on. my buddies 69 is that way..but i believe you can remove the wire hub and regular wheels right up.

but i dunno..i just know we got that sucker stuck in the woods in mud quite a few times... hehe

Hi DDD,

I don't have any "spare" center caps in the sense that I need all of the ones I have so that I can sell wheels as complete. I do have the rear wiper arm for sure.

As for the seat backs, I'm assuming U mean the section that bolts onto the back of the seat and has the mesh storage "pocket". I'll have a set of those but they aren't in perfect shape.

LMK if you'r einterested in the wiper and whether U just need the arm itself or also the base/lever mechanism that goes thru the hatch.

Cheers,

Dave

just sell your old wheels to corolla guys (AE86). They are a perfect fit on those cars and you can actually get some decent rubber in the 14 inch sizes they run. They're the wheels the AE86 GTSs should have come with, and the starion wheels are the ones are our supras should have come with.

You need to go work for toyota and get those dumb asses to smartin up! Come to think of it, we have Lotus to blame for those wheels. They even used them on some of there cars back in the 80's.....

No, Lotus has us to blame. They were used on one car, the Lotus Excel, which was heavily Supra based. Toyota did all of the styling on the Supra, so you can blame them.

British cars are my forte.

This is getting off topic but don't you think lotus set the wheel size when they did the suspension? Yes toyota styled them and I quite like the style but the size WTF they should have been 15" min cressy's got 15's.

Lotus had nothing to do with the wheels. Their involvement didn't happen until late '82. The reason that lotus used the wheels on some of their cars was that they took parts (wheels and transmissions) as payment for the work they did on setting up the suspension.

They also look great on the older Celica's

here's proof..its my old 73 Celica, the one I totalled before getting my 83 p-type

edit: that was before the hood was flat blacked for rust prevention reasons...IMO it looked much better afterwards

Never mind the fact that he and the previous owner (ME) are already upset enough about the situation. We don't need anyone else making a comment - joke or otherwise.

Seamus; while I do truley believe that people have to take everything the see on forums with a grain of salt; I also believe that people posting MUST understand that the person on the other end of the keyboard can not detect sarcasm; joking or any other emotion.

I think until you've truley built a relationship with someone (i.e.: me and the faggot asshat Webber) all sarcasm should be kept to a minimun and when you're joking you should state: J/K. It just avoids a lot of b.s. and misunderstandings...now lets forget this b.s. and get back on topic.

...speaking of lightening up...I have to visit the little boys room.....

Sorry guys, I was joking. "You fucking bastard" is my joke line...I'll give it an emoticon next time. If I was serious I probably would have written a few paragraphs on it.

Still, that sucks.
