I just had my windshield replaced and I put in new carpeting and now it seems that the heater is always on in that there is warm air coming out of the vents even with the controls set to outside air and at the coolest temperature setting, even with A/C on. Any thoughts?

Did you connect all the plugs under the center console when you replaced the carpet? There is a temp sensor in the back of the console that will cause this if left unplugged. HTH

the little sensor on the AC condensor on the PS of the car up front can cause this too if its unplugged.

You guys are frigin' geniuses!! at least when compared to me lol.
I wonder how much the Toyota dealership would have charged to figure out this problem?
You know if there was an annual membership to join CS.com it would quickly pay for itself. :)

Nah, we're not geniuses, its just the forum format. You put enough stupid people in one place with the same problems, someones bound to figure it out eventually and tell the others :D

lol...i doubt a lot of toyota dealerships would even know where to start. Unless they have a lot of older techs, in my dealership i know that maybe 5 out of 18 may know, including me.
