Hi all,

I went and had a look at this on the weekend: http://www.trader.ca/powerpage/details.aspx?vlotid=30907&adid=4830299

Overall pretty clean, and no, it's not a 3.0 l, and yes it does have over 300,000 KMs.

It is nice and clean, needs a muffler and there is surface rust on the rocker panel seam near the front of the door. The fog lights look shot, hole in one and water in the other. The hatch is mint although the dealer is leaving it outside so water dripped out of the hatch when I opened it. The underside and quarters are very nice, it has been undercoated since new. The undercoating at the top of the rear wheel wells is just starting to peel.

The interior is very nice, a little wear on the driver's bolster and, of course, the cosole lid is pretty flat.

The car was apparently serviced by the dealership it's whole life, records are available.

I tried to tell the salesman that it was way too much $ but it is a consignment sale, they owner priced it...oh well, I wonder if it'll have to stay outside all winter...yuck.

overall decent, but the guy that priced it was on crack.

Ahhh.....so this is another 1984 P-Type with leather that has the factory sunshade (with what looks like the post through the glass). Was this a Canada thing?? What gives???

That's a really neat set-up on how you can zoom into the pictures like that. Looks like there's some kind of Toyota double-din factroy radio upgrade, don't think I've ever seen one of those before. For what that must have cost, you just wonder why?

Yes, all '84 came with the sunshade...this was standard equipement

Only option available in '84-86

auto tranny, digital dash, moonroof, 2 tone paint and leather. Only has P-type

overall decent, but the guy that priced it was on crack.

At that price, the car has to be mint, in this case, fog are shot, amrest shot, bumper doesnt seem to be in good sahpe and water in trunk....this is going to turn bad.....

IMO, this car doesnt worth over 5000$ cdn... keep in mind it has complete history, which is rare...and km is valid, which is also rare around here.

I posted the "not a 3.0L" due to the fact that they were listing it as such, I thought maybe someone had swapped it.

I think $5K might even be a bit high, I would want to know everything and go through the whole history, and who knows what shape the hatch is on the inside, yikes. If I was going to spend that kind of $ I'd pick up a Califonia car, the exchange rate is quite good.

3K or less. someone installed a keyless entry/goofy looking fogs. water in the hatch(85,86s had a different seal on the rear window)
and under body rust.
money talks bring 3K with you.
unless its not owned by the dealership. the previous owner has nothing to do with it. Ask them what they paid?
