Where can I get my speedometer validated in WA state

I just got a speeding ticket and i need to have my speedometer checked. from my own calculations its about 15% off and it that is correct then i was not speeding according to my dash. I would like to find one in everett but anywhere is WA state will be ok.

There was a place I used once in 89 just off 4th ave on the northeast side of the bridge. I think it was called Northwest speedometer. I don't know if they are still around. You might try http://www.tacomaspeedometer.com/ or call a dyno place like carburetor Connection in Kirkland.

I know of the place you're talking about, I've seen them before. I "think" it was also called Northwest Speedometer, just off 4th & Spokane, next door to the Fire Station. Can't remember if they are around anymore, the last time I went to Burger Fling across the street, it seemed like they were gone.

The link for Tacoma Speedometer & Instrument is good, these guys do calibration work.

Just hauled out the Dex Yellow pages, there is a Puget Sound Radiator & Speedometer repair on Lake City Way.

No idea about local places (Shawn=Junkie knows), but in general, MK II Supras read 7-10% below actual speed (i.e, 70 indicated is really 63-65 mph). If you change the tires from 225/60-14 the numbers will change even more. Your odometer may vary, and good luck. I have 20 years of watching this, and I've heard similar from many others. OK, not good with the cop - ok, showed 80, minus 10% gives 72, so below 75.
