All I can say to that vid is "Viva Las Vegas!" If that was my neighbor probaly by the 2nd night I'de be in his yard disconnecting power from his breakerbox so I could get some sleep....None the less pretty interesting.....shouldn't he be working for a rockband or something doing stage effects?

The true reasons behind x-mas is cool with me but there's too much corprate propaganda with x-mas now that's totaly killed my x-mas spirit.

Like my parents had me move the x-mas tree because "We got you a big gift that's gonna take up a lot of room." my reply was "Well I hope it's a mail order bride....prefably Polish or Swedish....if it's not then I don't want it"

They keep probing me to see what I want for x-mas and I keep telling them nothing b/c I think it's enough that they let me live at home pretty much scott free while I'm in school.

If the x-mas season stops being commercial then I'll get back in the spirit but until then I'll takes scrooges side "Bah humbug" O_o

I'm not a fan of Christmas either. But I'd rather it just be a time where everything is closed up, an you can have time for yourself and family.

Leave it at that, screw the presents, they're pretty much worthless (there are exceptions of course).

So is everyone saying they hate christmas, or do they just hate the "economicly driven christmas?"

The economically driven christmas. Herein referred to as "X-Mas"

Well.....im gonna say this, propably get flamed or ignored. I despise the fact that they say "happy holidays". The merry x-mas is alright, albeit from the x meaning the greek word Khristos(sp?) for christ. so i can see that. but the happy holidays? why do they feel the need to neuter the meaning of christmas? we dont complain the fact that halloween is technicly the satans holiday. we dont say satans day? i get so inflamed about this. sorry i will get off of my soap box

Christmas is about the birth of Jesus and family gatherings but it all gets overshadowed by nazi product advertising weather it be TV radio or what not.

Take a close look at it...really close... How many kids actully know what Christmas is all about? From what I've seen most kids are so distracted by the latest and greatist toy they're basicly sayin "Screw Jesus" without knowing it because the simple fact is they don't know.
I'm going out of town with the parents to visit family for Christmas (which is rare but it's something I wanna do) then for newyears I'm going to visit soem friends back in Maryland.

As in my previous statement... I have a big gift comming to me....no I dunno what it is and no.....I really don't want/need it....Now if it were an electric blanket and some longjohns I'll be more than happy to take those so I can keep my happy ass warm......or my mail order bride :loser:

Halloween=All Hallows Eve=Scaring away the rising dead=around for 2000 years(Druids, etc) before the Bible-So how can it be Satans holiday?-Just cause you said so?-How about New Years Eve-Pagan Ritual from the dawn of time-Where does that fit in with the Miracle of Christ?-Off my soapbox also-Sorry-Too many chocolate Easter(Whoops, Spring Break) Bunnies today-Seriously, I agree-Dont water down ANY holidays meaning/ramifications-Hanukkah/Kwanza/Festivus, whatever

How many of you have kids, with eyes wide open about Christmas decorations,
and that Santa is coming to town ???

Answer the same question then, it might be different !

I don't dispute seeing your kids eyes with the events. No sir I don't have kids myself but I tend to spend x-mas with family and I have cousions ranging from newborn to 10years. When they walk down stairs x-mas AM and see gifts "Santa" left for them they get that look "Oh I think I just shat my pants I'm so happy." Yet my own family dropped to a new low because when telling x-mas stories x-mas eve instead of telling about frosty the snow man I had to tell them [my cousins] what x-mas was really all about and what the truely best x-mas gift was (the birth of christ).

Like I said my holiday gift is being with the family members I like (pretty much my moms side of the family....my dads side pretty much cut contact with us couple years ago). I don't have rich parents but were comfortable so I'm usualy pleased for the holiday but I try to make a habit of giving something to Toys For Tots or the Salvation army to at leaste help make 1 other family a little more happy on x-mas day =-)

I saw on the news this morning the state police made him stop his light show due to causing major highway backup (from people tryin to go see this thing live) and one person got rearended while watching the show b/c another person who was drivin was watchin the show and not the road :kekekegay

I have to say I like the soundtrack that it's set to trans siberian orchatra(sp) kicks ass

see, i think that the reason people don't know the true meaning of christmas is because many parents are too lazy to teach kids what its really about, i mean it has become an unreligious holiday to most, if you know and celebrate the true meaning but like to exchange gives and have the kids beleive in santa it is ok too. I don't know people always look to place to blame else where.....it sickens me....

Mmm X-mas spirit.

Reminds me, I've got to go buy some more spirits, for xmas, or whenever ;)

Or, if anyone wants to send me some, I prefer bourbon.

Ha Bumhug......oops. What I am saying is that this just a sad reminder that Christmas has been transformed into a shopping contest and a $25000 3 month laser light show. I believe Christmas should be about showing your love and compassion just as Christ did. Hence "Christ"mas. Just my 2 cents.
