It doesn't look to have the a/r on it.. I looked on the cold and hot side, or maybe it's the crappy pictures.
Either way, thats a huge turbo.
There is a guy with a tractor trailor turbo mounted in the rear of his integra around here. It's pretty stupid, but he did it for like 50 bucks. (his dad owns a diesol shop) and it put down 260 to the front wheels at 4 psi, and spools pretty good for a big turbo on such a small motor.
Have any of ya'll seen the tree-cutter turbos? I wanted one for my old dirtbike :woot:

It's "big"? The guy didn't even bother to take one single measurement of anything pertanent to the turbo. How would you know it's "big" or not??? There's many of those old diesel turbos on ebay, whooteefreakindo.
Anyone that has spent time on money on their car would be crazy to cheap out and buy a turbo completely unknown in specs or know engine displacement from which it was installed. That turbo was engineered to work with 17-1CR diesels with probably more displacement than 3L.
all that $ and time fabricating a turbo only to discover it hits boost at 5k, sweet. :weaksauce

i don't deal with the larger turbos much but all of the turbos i have seen (not on a nhra car) you can't fit your hand in like that

Somehow, i get the impression you don't deal with turbos at all.:) I can fit my hand into the inlet of my T61 and it's really not considered big anymore. Then again I have little school girl hands. :hsugh: These types of threads have been posted at lot at SF over the last 5 years. Talk about repost burnout. :)
