Apparently the previous owner of my Redpra had a leak in his garage roof (?) - there were calcific-type deposits all over the passenger-door window and the right side of the windshield, like hard water had been dripping on it for a while (interestingly, none of the trim pieces on the door were damaged). Anyway, found a solution: went to the local glass shop and got a sample of a glass polish called "Rare Earth". Apply it with a damp towel or an old T-shirt. Took the crud right off (with a bit of elbow grease)...worked on the B-pillar without scratching it, also. I had tried all sorts of non-abrasive cleaners before without success.

Hope this helps anyone else out there with this problem.

In addition to this Rare Earth stuff, you can also try the glass polish from Griots Garage. Stuff works very well in getting hard water spots off of glass & your side mirrors.
