Is any one using the maf pro? I know some members have the maft, but I'm thinking of going with the maf pro but I'm not really sure on what all is needed. Do I just get the maf pro, a GM 3 bar map sensor and a air temp sensor? What a about the wiring harness do they have a 7mgte one?
Iv been reading up on this for the past few weeks, here are some links that help explain what set up you can get for what you want

Thanks Zank! I hate that I have to go over to the mk3 boards to learn about this stuff but I went on supamania to day and got the info I needed aong with a ton of bs! Now my head hurts. On the bright side I ordered my maf pro along with what I need to go speed density, should be tuning with it in 2 weeks once I get back from holidays. I'll be sure to post up my experince and results here.

Got my maft pro a few weeks ago from Dr Jonez. I'm going speed density too, but not just yet. Maybe you'll beat me to it as I'm not even close to installing mine yet. I've been watching this product since its 7mgte compatibility was first mentioned a few months ago in sm and I have to say that it's very promising.

Ok, So what is the Different Between MAft Pro and MAP ECU.
While I was at TX2K6, MVP Motorsports had a few MAP ECUs for sale. She couldnt really Explain to me what the Benefits of going with one is but she did say it replaces the AFM.
Anyone?

Well I just got mine in the mail yesterday so I'll be messing around with it pretty soon. The diff between the maf pro and a map ecu is that the maf pro translauts the MAP signal to the stock ECU so it thinks it's reading a afm even tho the afm is gone. A MAP based ECU would replace the stock one.
