Here is a new video shot from the outside of the car showing off how well all the new suspension goodies work. I ended up knocking another 2 seconds off that course by the end of the day, but this is a pretty good run. 6.2 megs Windows Media 9 encoded.

Cool, that thing really does stay pretty flat. Your car sounds good. Was that 2nd gear you're in most of the time?

Yeah its all 2nd gear, there was a little rev limiter action down near the turnaround but it was too far away by then to hear, plus the FFR Cobra kinda stomped all over the sound anyway, damn Fords :)

wow....nice wes....is your rear camber corrected by modification of the suspension or the spacers on the springs?

I love the Number they gave you.

thats the key to his success! :zzzzz:
what spring rate do you have in the rear Wes? I am installing almost the exact same suspension setup as you have except getting ground-contols in teh front and I'm still not sure what springs/ spring rate would be good for the rear. any suggestions?

sweet, now to find a way to get 935 on the side :)

How about 450? I'm digging my 450lb fronts even on daily driven roads.

maybe I need to get you some 250 rears or something....

ST rears were way too soft for me, soggy rear.

Hot Damn Wes I can never get sick of those video's. That's very similar (if not the same) as Dave's setup and after doing the Canyon run with him in California a couple weeks ago I'm sold...thanks for sharing.

I want to wait on the 450's untill I increase the rear rate. I am looking at doing 300lb 5" diameter springs in the rear with those adjustable 5" perches that someone posted here. Then the 450's in the fronts. I dont find the ST's to be too bad with 350 fronts, with the shocks on max the car is neutral for the most part. Get me some RCA's and Strut Rods first. I think the roads in California are better than here too, the road construction crews here really ont seem to get the idea of smooth transitions here.

Wes, as always DAMN. You are the man. Nice vid. Are you still mounting a camera inside the car? I'd love to see those shots as well.

I think the camera has taken too much abuse over the years. I got some in car footage that day but it was all screwed up, I need a new camera I think.

Nice video and good to see the Mk2 dicing up the cones. Are you on the Kook RS2's now? I have the 245/45x16 RS2's on the 85. On my AutoX car, the RS2's were ok till about 3/32's - then they turned to teflon - must have been heat cycled out and just switched to Azenis 615's. Jay B in AZ

Damn, that's not what I wanted to hear. I was hoping they woulld be like the Khumo MX's I have been running, those just got better and better untill you hit the cords. At full tread these are faster than the MX's ever were so I guess its not all bad. The 615's are the tire to have though, I just don't think I could afford to run them, I dont think I will get the life out of them that the MX's and RS2's seem to have. I need to see about 10-12k of street miles plus 12-15 autcrosses or solo 1 style events on a set.
