Yeah, so yesterday I decided to change the oil on the 2JZ before I started putting it all back together with the nitros prepped manifold and polished parts. Turns out that I have a good amount of metal in my filter and pan. Most of it is 1mm sized "chips" but the pan held some rather nice 1cm square hunks of metal. So my mod list has changed slightly from big injectors and AEM to rebuild stuffs. Luckily last year I hade a spare 2JZ block dipped, decked, honed, and painted ready for a build up. This will be an upgraded TT bottom end, good for 700 or so hp at least.

freshenedTT pistons with new rings
ARP hardware throughout
Clevit 77 main bearings
Clevit Seris-B rod bearings
HKS 1.2mm headgasket

Gona have the head inspected and hope that all is good for now, I can't afford to build a head at this point in time.

So there goes the plans to be back at the track in May. Hopefully I get it running with all the bugs worked out by Vegas.

Found the culprit of the shavings, spund 4 rod bearings and scratched the other 2 plus a few main bearings. Still trying to determine how it happened.

'least the head is still good. Aren't you glad you've got another bottom end handy.
