Hi

I have just aquired a 1985 Supra in dire need of help. I don't have a way to post pics right now, but if anyone wants to see the starting point I can e-mail it. This poor car is rough!!

Let's start the tale of woe. The car doesn't currently run. It rotates but pumps fuel out of the injector o-rings. When it was towed here the left front caliper came loose, locked against the wheel stopping it, and destroyed the wheel and tire. (Thank God for a full size factory spare.) I don't know enough about the trim levels on these to label it and any help in that neighborhood would be appreciated.

This is my first Supra. I have owned 300zx's and RX-7s, but never a Supra. I'm hoping to get her back on the road very soon.

If anyone thinks they can give me any kind of help in trim level info, I can give any info you ask for. If I know the trim, I can find parts easier.

Thanks.

if you'll describe the car with regards to the fender flares (or lack there of) interior trim, ie, leather or no, digital dash or analog. the 85/86 MKIIs pretty much came standard everything, there weren't too many "option" if any.

It is white with blue cloth interior. It has fender flairs, digital dash, and 15" wheels. It only has the upper rear spoiler. It has all the incredibly heavy luxury options including the moonroof.

How do I tell the trim diffrence? Is there a part of the vin that I can give someone?

Thanks in advance.

Well, the fender flairs are from a P-Type, however those 15" rims (if they are factory rims) and digital dash were only offered on L-Types... and the spoiler you mentioned if a pre-85 spoiler... not sure if the 85-86 L-types got that spoiler or the normal spoiler, if any...

Definately an interesting combination.. sounds like someone already started working on her :) Good luck reqardless!

Great!!!

I have a certified mutt. The rear hatch is body color and the 15" wheels are factory.

I'm wrong. It does not have fender flairs. That makes it an L-Series right?

Now, since I'm new to all this, what does that mean? Where did the L-Series fall in the line up?

I still can't get pics to come up on this forum for me, but here's a link to what I have to deal with.
