Sup all, well you guys remembered when i left that ratch on the crank pulley? and the bolt got completely stripped...

so i went to the parts dept. today got a new 19mm bolt ..$8

and i realized i could catch it...

Pulled out the fan and radiator and the pulley itself...

i still couldnt catch the bolt with the pulley off..
The shaft where the keyway is on seems to be out alittle too much....

any of you have any ideas??
thanks..

OH yea did any of you ever have problems with the idle speed motor? Expensive?

You mean it won't "catch" in the threads so you can put it in?

If that's the case, get a tap and die set or put the old bolt on a vise, head side clamped, and use the edge of a file to make a nick on the first 5-6 threads on the bolt vertically making your own "tap" then use that to slowly work it into the threads and hopefully repair the threads. I just did this on a Ford Explorer today. Sorry I don't have any pics to show, but hopefully you get the idea. Be extremely careful not to further damage the threads as that would lead to the crankshaft needing to be replaced. Good luck.
