on my emissions test i pass everything except the "nox" portion. it was reading well over a thousand over. in texas the norm is about 1200 it was like 22xx, the second time after i replaced spark plugs, and cap and rotor it jumped to 44xx. what gives? and why would the nitrogen part go up so high? is there a fix to this? any help would be appreciative! thanks.

it might actually be your cat. converter. also make sure there is plenty of air flow to radiator. nox means that the conbustion gasses(exhaust gas) are running too hot inside the cylinders.. actually if you changed your o2 sensor and your plugs you could actually make that hot gas even worse. when the engine is running a little richer it actually runs cooler exhaust gas.. when it runs leaner the exhaust gas is hotter. if that makes sense to you. also i would check your egr valve(exhaust gas recurculation) this actually is what cools the gas down wich at this point i would guess is you problem! hope this helps!!
JQ, most likely your EGR system is not functioning, go to the online TSRM and look up how to check the valve, system, etc.
