Just purchased a 85 P-type. $100.00 (nice buy)
Any way trailerd it home it runs i drove it up on the trailer no problems but i parked it in the back. Now apparently i cant get in, the windows are up im not shure if its locked or not i just cant get in. the key turns in the lock but either way i cant get in. Any help ??? I also own a 84 P-type (daily driver)
try the hatch and if it opens then, well, you can figure it out from there. You never said you tried it, so theres my suggestion.

if the hatch dont work... make sure you are using the 85 keys and not the 84 (hey, dumber things have happened).... if you are using the correct keys... time for a slim jim (no, not the meat stick)

If you can't get the hatch open and none of the keys will work, stick a coathanger between the glass and weather strip by the B pillar and hook the door lock lever. I used to have a bad habbit of leaving my keys in the car when I first went to a detatchable face head unit.

Or use a yardstick between the upper glass and weatherstip to stick into the car and push the power unlock button.

passengers side door locking you out also? if so I would have to think scorpmatts suggestion would be right.

Me thinks a good coat hanger (unbent of course, use the squiggly side) going between the window and weatherstrip would be better due to the black piece of "gutter" above the window. I say use the squiggly side to hit the unlock button... had to do it once on a convertible, did wonders. :)

Try another old Toyota key. You'd be amazed. My old '87 Tercel key could also unlock my buddy's 90 'rolla, and sometimes my Mom's old Camry.
