I have an 83 with the external fuel pump. I bought the car and put a new engine in and it turned out the fuel pump was bad so I put a used one in from Bob Shampton. I do not know what killed the original fuel pump by the way. Well I put his in and in a few weeks its dead. Not sure what killed this one either. Is there something on the car that could be killing these or is it just by chance buying a used fuel pump was a stupid idea. Thanks
