What do you guys do about the bar attached to the steering pump bracket and ex. manifold. I'm assuming the Thorley header doesn't have the bolt hole for it. I guess it's some kind of a brace. Is the Thorley warrenty voided if you weld a bolt hole on it?
Does the Rabidchimp intake pipe for the 5m come in different colors? If not does anyone else make them in various colors?
What is that canister in the middle of the stock intake for?

Toss it in the trash, you'll be fine without it. The big section in the stock intake is a resonator.

What does the resonator do?

It resonates :zzzzz:

Ok actually it's shaped the way it is to absorb sound and keep intake noise down.

Do the RC and other intakes make a lot of noise? Is it that noticeable? If so, has anybody used the resonator with a RC intake pipe? Anybody ever try one of those Tornado intake devices? If so, what results did you get?

Yeah it makes a noise. Its a whisle noise. And as far as a resonator on a RC pipe what for???

And the Tornado thing. I have one and I took mine out. I dont think it really helps.

leave the resonator out, the sound is only noticeable under hard accel and event then its not loud just a slight wistle. as for the tornados, popular science magazine did a study on a dyno that actually showed lower hp and worse gas mileage on identical vehicles, so no dont buy one.

Does anyone make an intake in different colors? Gold or green would look hot. I'm sick of the standard chrome look. Everything is chrome chrome chrome.

It dosen't look like it but you can get that new dupla color paint for chrome and give it that anodized look.

Chimpy will do whatever custom color you ask for.

The more posts I read, the more I see a need for you to use the search function,and/or just plain research more.We really don't mind helping, but,it's become apparent, you are not making much of an attempt to help yourself.

Thanks Junkie, and yes i do use the search function as much as I can but i have VERY limited time on the internet so I can't spend all day searching for something obscure when I can it get by simply asking a question. Also, alot of info. may be out of date.

Understand, thats why we still help some. Most info here that is fairly easily found,is not out of date.Parts suppliers/vendors can be confusing,as it's tough to put everything in an online store, and have it easily found on the site. Then you have comunication issues, which can be a hassle,or go smooth as butter, with any of them.
Searching,I can agree, can be a PITA.But,I'm really not that good at it,and can still usualy find what I need within an hour or so,even when it's fairly obscure.Should have tried to get info back 6 years ago, when all we had was Yahoo, and a seriously messed up Supra forums :D

PS,go into user cp and add your location,so we don't have to search, and se if you already posted it,LOL
