When I got the car, all the int lights worked except the rear hatch light.

Then in the next few months, I'd have the dome light working sometimes, and not other times. But the door lights always worked. I checked the fuse/bulb, seemed fine. Pulled the dome out and put in a mint replacement from a Corolla or Camry (it looks identical) and that didn't work at all.

But now I have nothing, door lights, even the map lights don't work. Checked and swapped the 7.5A fuse and it's fine.

So going from the diagram:

It looks like the power goes to the dome light, then out from there to all the other places. I have multimetered the pins for the dome light and am getting nothing. I get 12V on the battery just to confirm the meter is set right.

Before I start digging out wires, am I missing a secret fuse or some other simple thing? Is there some sensitive junction I can check, or do I just pull the headliner and trace the whole wire?

Thx!

I just went through a similar exercise with diagnosing why my door lights/dome light/foot light didnt turn on when either door was opened. There is a switch (looks like a rubber stopper at the rear lower portion of the doorways) that closes and completes the circuit when the door is open, hence turning said lights on. The wire connecting the switch to the cct was disconnected, hence none of said lights working. Might be worth looking into if you see similar symptoms.

Originally I thought the two wires were + and -, but figured out that one is supposed to be constant power, the other is power only when door open (via the door switch). Both are showing no volts, so I'm guessing I pulled it out when I was switching the housing. But I will still check the door switch (both doors don't work though).

Is the roof liner easy to remove to get at the wire, or is this another lost cause? I could perhaps even run another line myself from the fuse box via a coat hanger..
