Today I was going to remove a rust-free sunroof panel from a parts car for a fellow supraholic, but its jammed. The back of the panel just barely comes down, but not far enough to clear. The motor sounds like its really laboring for a second and stops. I tried removing the screw and cranking it manually, but it jams in the same spot. Tried removing the motor and pushing on the panel to no avail. Any hints how to open the panel before I break out the cutting tools? BTW, I'm trying not to damage the interior in the process so the idea is just to slide it far enough back to pull the front clips on the headliner panel so I can get to the bolts.

Pry w/ screwdriver if it opened enough to get in there-Broken track/bad belt can cause what you are seeing-Is it worse on one side or other? My track is busted on pass side-Did exactly what you said

ABout the same on both sides. Tried prying a bit but don't want to damage a saleable part.
