well, the car does me no good with a blown engine. so I'm considering my options now. we're really in a huge financial hole and any little bit helps.
even if I got the car running, I can't afford to re-register and insure it.

I'd like to see if there's any interest before I make a final decision.

car would be taken as a whole, not parting it out.

includes
RC ceramic coated intake
Pacesetter header, 2.25" exhaust w/ no cat, ST muffler (all one piece)
XX badges including b pillars themselves, and 2.8GT badge
alphasonik 10" subwoofers in a box
400watt amp

Just the above = $500

About the car:
1983 Super White P-type 5 speed w/ L type hatch
4.10LSD
Both tranny and diff have well over 200k miles, but work great. No 2nd gear grinding, no diff howling.
Dayton Dayona SR 235/60/14 tires in good condition
Black Leather interior

Driver's seat is shot, passengers seat is on it's way out, back seat bottom has started to crack, back seat tops in good condition. Dasboard in good condition, some vents cracked or missing. passengers rear seatbelt is jammed. missing both underside panels under the dash. carpet is faded and torn. doesn't have that tar sound insulator under the carpet.

Rust on passengers side quarter behind the tire, gas filler door. Rust on the driver's side under the door. Minor rust spots on the hatch. rust on the roof. surface rust around antenna. windshield leaks a bit, needs resealed. some bumper bolts are missing, looks like they were snapped off. mudflaps are all missing. driver's side door lock is sticky. passengers side door handle is broken. hood, hatch release and lock all work fine. body has numerous small dents, none horribly noticeable except the 2" crease on the drivers side fender and 4" crease near the gas filler door. passengers side b pillar is chipped pretty good. missing drivers door molding and passengers quarter molding

taillights, fogs and turns in great condition. sidemarkers are missing the lightbulb sockets for some reason. headlights are silvania silverstar and the headlight motors operate indepentantly by 2 switches on the drivers side dash. instrument cluster needs replaced, digi clock works when it wants to, knob that controls the clock is broken. odometer reads 99,491 miles... innacurate, obviously. gas warning light does not work.

a/c, cruise control, washer fluid tank, heater valve all have been removed. heater core is broken. no fan shroud, no skid plate.

fuel pump is a year old.

car weighed 3,010lbs fully loaded w/ full tank and stereo system.
would make a great daily beater, parts car or project car.

PICS OF EVERYTHING CAN BE SEEN HERE:

Would be asking $600 OBO for EVERYTHING.
car is located in Attica, NY, about 30 miles east of Buffalo.

I'm interested. Was that originally a Florida car?

Maybe I'm just dense, but your post didn't seem to explain why the motor is blown? I'm guessing that the car has a BHG? ;)

Nope, carfax says the car was originally a New Jersey car. It did spend a lot of time in Georgia and South Carolina though before I got it.

The engine has 3 holes in the block, #6 connecting rod snapped and had a field day. :sadsmilie

Hole in the block syndrome.

Ouch.

If you still have it in two weeks or so, I'd like to stop by to check it out.

(moving my house and boat shop, not much time to take a road trip for a bit)

That's fine, it'll probably still be here as I'm not really actively selling it yet. You're more than welcome to stop by whenever you'd like and check it out.

Uhhhh, I'm going to have to replace it as the con rod blew it into pieces when it left the block :eek4dance:

DOH!

Don't you still have that other one that you were going to warranty at Advance Auto or something?

Yeah, I was never able to make it out to Advance before the block self destructed. I'll have to try to remember the next time I'm able to head out to Batavia (my neighbor's mom gives us rides to go shopping pretty rarely and she'll be moving to Batavia hereself soon so I won't have anymore access for rides out of Attica anymore)

No real rush whenever you get to it.

You guys need to move to the city. Living in the boonies with no car is nuts. In the city not so big a deal.

Tanya

Yeah, well I can't beat $200/ month in the city and have an extremely patient landlord, lol.

That's really cheap but how much are the utilities for that big place? Your gas bill must be crazy high.

There's alot more jobs here too.

Tanya

utilities aren't so bad, gas bill just a tad higher than I expected, but nowhere near the $600 a month mark numerous people told me

Last bill was $167, but our room mate had it on all the time, since she's moved out, we've used a lot less gas. This place is 3,000sq feet easy as you could tell when you're here.

a job for him in Buffalo was the original plan, right before the car blew up. He's collecting unemployment now until we can get back on our feet with a car
