My daughter (victim) just totalled an 86 Cress with 1 day on the road. Not her fault.
It was a front on hit to the side of a pickup truck across her path. The 105K car was a White 86 4dr with a digital dash and good blue cloth seats. It had been repainted. I have no history with the car. I also have a very good 88 Cressida with 3 84/85 Supras, all automatic.

question: What pieces might be worth saving/stripping as the salvage is going to be very cheap?
ignitor/coil?
A43 Auto trans? - Is it worth paying to have it pulled to save for one of my 3 Supras?

The question is... how much storage space do you have ?

No storage, we're talking strip and discard the remains.

Alan, sorry to hear about the Cressy, hopefully your daughter is AOK.

Don't just throw stuff away... where are you located ?

I would pull all the good interior and trim items, plus all the electronics.

I would grab everything, but if you don't have the storage space, it's a different story.

Where are you at? I need a shotblock and a 105k one sounds very nice.

Wes,
the Cress is in Las Vegas. The engine was OK EXCEPT for #1 cylinder which may have developed stuck rings from sitting around. It had significantly less compression than the other cylinders and produced a miss. I never completed a brake fluid in cylinder soaking procedure that could have "freed" the rings.
