my 5mge has been in pieces and I have moved a few times seince I started working on the engine. even though I carefully packaged my bits I think things are missing. anyways, I have a spare 350. I know that I will need custom mounts (no prob) my question is bring a unibody will It weaken the car welding on it? if so do I need more braceing any where? Also. I am looking into getting a 5 or 6 speed mannuel Trans. will I have to get out my can opener and fab a new floorpan over the trans? I can get a drive shaft made for next to nothing (met a guy when I streched a peterbuild and had to get all the shafts re made longer. than made a roll bar for his truck so he owes me) I think the stock rear will stand up to the engine but... not for long. what would be a better option?

I am planning on running the engine with a carb but when I get back form school I would like to switch to tpi and a gale banks twin turbo setup.

well unibody structuall support im no expert so i cant say. some minor mods may need to be made for a manual but the automatic fits with not tunnel mods, the stock rear held up to some nasty launchs inmine but truetrac is definately a good idea, and banks tt system will not work on a tuned port injection setup it is designed for mpfi only which is why he also sells the accel dfi system.

I will plan for a mpfi system Than, I just said tpi but that was just what poped into my head. As for the weakness from welding I have seen alot of mounts welded to swap engines in hondas don't seem to matter but I may add some support for the extra weight. also what is the best for springs / shocks to handle the weight & power?

It souldn't weaken it a whole bunch. To be truthful I would suggest fabbing some like subframe connectors. The MA6* and MA7* chassis are pretty stout but having some extra support for added torque never hurt anything =-)
