Does anyone know where to find a tranny cooler line? Is it a dealer only part? Is it possible to have one made?

i've been wondering, what the hell does "IIRC" mean? i was going to search on it but i'm too lazy.

Anyway, we kinked the hell out of it trying to loosen it from the tranny, we ended up cutting it off. yeah, i know, we were so frustrated at that point. and we had to get the damn thing out already. I knew that we werent getting it back together, you cant have a kinked tranny cooler line, and i wasn't down for driving around without a heater core. I still can't believe i did that, i ripped the whole metal tube out of the heater core tryin to get the hose off. The whole ordeal was hell and i'm not putting it back together, i'm payin someone to do it, it's way over my head. I'll replace the heater core, someone else is puttin that tranny back in!

How bad are the heater cores in these anyway? I had to do my 95 blazer 3 times, the whole dash had to come out.

Line may be patchable with some high pressure soft line for a temp fix.

I have a couple heater cores in stock, new in box.Don't know what cirrent parts place price is,but I'd beat there prices, even if it's a loss, been here 3 years.

Yes, you can easily remake those lines. Just get some 5/16" steel brake line from a truck parts supplier. I even used to be able to get them at REAL auto parts stores back before Ohreallys and Autothrone put all the independents out of business. Usually sold in like 4' or 5' lengths, get 2. The ends are already flared with standard fittings, You're going to cut one end off and reuse your original 8mm metric flare nuts or if they are stripped, order 2 new ones from toyota - $2.69 each. Get a cheap tubing bender and go to work. Once you have them in place, cut the fronts off appropriate length in front of the motor. Now get a couple of 5/16" brass compression fittings and hose barbs at a hardware store to install on the front ends. Connect to the radiator with 5/16" transmission cooler hose.

:woot: Thank god.

I bought a speedo cable thinking thats what broke, but it wasn't, it was the cable in the elbow piece. The speedo cable was $90 some odd dollars, the elbow is $103.64. Go figure.
