My car sputters/makes bubbly noises during deceleration. What's this about?
Otherwise my car is running perfect, except for my idle going as low as 400.
I just got my tps in order and was able to adjust my timing. Which it's adjusted to 12-15 degrees btdc.

Thanks.

You mean like mini-backfires?

They could be the tiniest backfires ever. But it's sputtery not like a big backfire. I'm not sure what small backfires would sound like.

Checked my timing. Was at 15. Put it back to 10. Better but still slightly missing/back firing. I need to check the spark plugs now. Any other suggestions?

I had this issue as well. When I had the emissions done, the car was running way too rich. Here is what I did to clean up the emissions and this sound has gone away. I kind of liked the sound, but I didn't know I was spewing emissions. http://forums.celicasupra.com/showthread.php?t=26894

I hope this helps.

I too have this sound but I don't mind it. And my car was able to pass emissions about a year ago. Where abouts in socal are you from DRIFTINGmy85?

Right next to San Bernardino in Redlands. I did notice before changing the timing a big white cloud of smoke from my exhaust. Only once though.
=) Tomorrow I'll read up on that link.
Thanks!!
