*long low whistle*

Beautiful car...it looks an awful alot like another blue 1984 P-type I'm accustomed to seeing on a regular basis!

I wonder what she'll bring?????

Phil.....you sure you just did'nt "borrow" Greg's ride for the weekend....I mean that would be a messed up way for Greg to find out you put his car on Ebay...LOL

Gotta say I have really grown acustom to the beefy look of the Michelin Pilots. Makes the OE Potenzas and Dunlops look a little wimpy.

Sucks, I would be able to afford this car come tax time, but I don't think hubby will let me spend $4k on a Supra all at once, doh

I think this car will sell for about double the opening bid!

Great looking car with good service records and awesome color.

Can anyone take a look at this car and give us a report, as I am sure many of us on this site are very interested.

David

I really like these 'no bullshit' ads. none of this "LOL ITS A RARE CAR SURE TO INCREASE IN VALUE". Just present the facts at an appropriate price.

C'mon Mike.....your gonna blow it for me!

Subtle differences between this & G's car....this one has stock suspension cause it sits higher in the front. Also, Greg's wheels are a wee bit more blingy due to the wheelcollision refinishing. Splitting hairs really.

If I did not already have a million cars I'd think long and hard about this one....

(<------openly fantasizes about driving this car around with Greg and his car and wearing matching outfits :facesjump )

Just checking up on this car... Im gonna be sad if this thing dsnt bring more than the current $4550. :-(

About 1.5 yrs ago... there was a 33K car identical to this (and mine) from Ohio on ebay. My records indicate it sold for $7600. I thought it was the same car as this, but they have diferent VINs.

Does anyone know what happened to the Ohio car?

Two stinking bids? $4,550 for this car? I may e-mail the guy and tell him to hold onto it until spring where he could get $6,500 for this sucker...this car is clean man.

Greg - let's buy it and store it in your garage :eek4dance:

I can't believe what some people are willing to offer/take for pristine examples of these cars. Hell, a reman. Jasper engine is $3500 plus shipping... Assuming there is no rust underneath, (Michigan=salt) the rear doesn't howl the clutch is strong, etc this is a $7000 + car in my book.

Of course there is the fact that the antenna doesn't work, the muffler has been replaced with some funky single pipe and the under hood is in need a good detailing ( is that undercoat?).

But seriously, I would never bid/buy a car off Ebay unless I could see it in person...these are good quality pictures but we all know what a camera can do in the right hands to optimize condition. If it was within 300 miles I would be there in a heart beat.

Agreed on all points. The muffler is an easy fix and that is probably the undercoat rust protection stuff they put on...it is removable but a PITA from what people tell me.

We don't see many clean cars like this in the rust belt northeast. If it were black I'd have to buy it....

the seller of this car, Mark Peters, just informed me that he sold the car out from underneath me! :ugh:

Story is that the original ebay winner, listed in one of the posts in this thread, was a deadbeat bidder. Mr. Peters goes on and on telling me how upset he was about it.

Mr.Peters then emailed me and offered the car to me. He calls me the other night and he tells me all about the car. All is good. I email him to let him know when I can meet him at the Detroit border to pick it up. Today he emails me and writes that the car is sold.

Ppfff, what a flake.:loser: I feel like I have been hit in the stomach twice with this car. Maybe it was never meant to be. Whatever ...

Needless to say the search for a 'clean, low mileage' Mk II continues ....

So LAN0770 is someone here?

Im sorry to hear you got punked twice. Id sure love to know where this car is winding up geographically.

I never heard from Barman's 2 tone 85 anymore either... like it just disappeared.

Yet another low mile mk2 owner who turns out to be a douche (I'm referring to the 85 SDR that had a bad engine, the owner turned into a tool fairly quickly)
